I’m going to start this post off by skipping to the end. Allie + Jacob had their reception at a new venue in Columbus, the Scioto Reserve Country Club. It just opened this year, and we have to say, it’s probably one of the nicest, classiest places we’ve been to. The interior design is very contemporary, and it’s just beautiful. Another great venue to add to our “must have” list. On top of that they had Nina Banks coordinating, and she’s brilliant. Receptions can get kind of crazy, but Nina was such a joy to work with and she did everything to ensure their party went off without a hitch.

Mindy and I love shooting all day weddings (we don’t do anything less) for the simple fact that we get to spend the whole day with our couples and their bridal parties. Allie + Jacob had one of the best sets of friends (and family) that we’ve had the honor to work with. Seriously, by the reception the guys were yelling “CAMERON!!!” and throwing their arms up. Honestly, kind of embarrassing, since we try to be as unseen as possible throughout the day. We had so much fun, and the entire bridal party made us feel so welcome all day long. If any of you guys are reading this, thank you.

These guys are some of our favorite friends that we never see. It’s a shame that we don’t get the chance to hang out more often, but we were thrilled when Ryan asked us to do their family pictures for Asher’s first birthday. He’s the second cutest little boy in the world (after Holden of course, IMO), and you can tell that Ryan + Sarah just love him to pieces. It was awesome to be able to shoot these exactly one year after he was born!
