How long have you been in business?

We formed BRAUNphotography in February of 2009. We shot 13 weddings our first year. We’ve shot over 40 weddings since then, with no plans on slowing down.

Do you travel? How far?

Of course! We love traveling, and we’re willing to go just about anywhere you’d like. We’ve had the privilege of shooting weddings all over the country, but there are lots of places we’d still like to visit!

How do your packages work?

We only have one “package.” Each wedding is just as important to us as the next, and we’re committed to being “all in” every time. What you see on our pricing page is included with every wedding, and from there we give you the option to “build-your-own” custom package. We think each couple has a unique need, and we have plenty of options to create a complete package that’s perfect for you. Most of our couples spend between $3500 and $4500.

How and why do you choose your locations?

We find that in photography, much like any other visual art, color, texture, and line are extremely important. Take a look around you and you’ll see these things in unexpected places. These key characteristics tend to be a lot easier to find in nature and in older urban settings. Newer construction looks great, but it usually lacks those details. Sometimes this means finding a beautiful park, and other times we end up in a historic downtown or in the back alley.

What should we wear to our engagement session?

A lot like our locations, it’s best to wear something with color. Layers are great too. And don’t forget the details! Jewelry, watches, shoes… they all pop up in engagement photos. Think about what you might wear if you were going on a date, and show off your personality!

What’s your turn around time?

We have a typical turn around of 4 weeks for engagement sessions and up to 8 weeks for weddings.

Do we get the rights to our images?

A disc of high-res images is included with every wedding and photo session that we shoot, and includes a written release of printing rights.

Do you charge sales tax?

Yes. The State of Ohio requires photographers to charge sales tax on business done in our state, and we’re pretty good at obeying the law. You lucky out-of-staters don’t have to worry about it!

What kind of camera do you use?

We are official members of Canon Professional Services, and shoot a variety of full-featured, full-frame Canon digital cameras. We love our Canon 5D Mark II and our original Canon 5D. Our lenses include the 17-40mm f/4L USM, 50mm f/1.4 USM, 85mm f/1.8 USM, 100mm f/2.8 Macro USM, 135mm f/2L USM, 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II and the Sigma 50mm f/1.4 EX HSM. We have a bunch of other gear, but we can’t give away all of our secrets!

Can we meet you?

Definitely! We actually prefer meeting with each of our prospective couples up front anyway. We believe that we can build a relationship from the very beginning. We have a beautiful in-home office, and we would love to have you over! Just drop us a line and we’ll get something on the calendar!
